The night air sang with a million sounds. It was heavy with the rich symphony of wild-life that always appealed to Krista. She took a deep breath that was let out with a sigh. Of all the nights to be stuck at home, she thought morosely to herself. She could smell the rich fertile scents of the world around her. The trees heavy with multi-colored leaves gave off the fragrant smell that only summer brings. She could see an occasional creature of the night fly by in the light from the warded torch. She placed her hands lightly on the smooth warm wood of the railing that surrounded her high perch and sighed again.

Another site, another blog....

Since this site is devoted to my writing, it seemed only right to have a blog on here. What's a writing site without a journal of some sort, right. :-D
Thanks for taking the time and interest to read what I have written.

My name is Heather Quarnstrom, which I'm sure you couldn't guess from the name of the site.
This site is currently in development, but the plan is to make this a home for all of my assorted writing. I have been writing off and on for most of my life, but have recently decided it was time to try to do it professionally. I am currently at work on two novels simultaneously and may be posting bits and pieces of them on this site to get feedback.
This site will chronicle my journey as a (possibly) professional writer, as well as a being a showcase for my work. All items on this site that I am posting are my original works and all rights are reserved. They may not be used in any form without my written consent. If you would like to use something of mine, please feel free to contact me. In most instances as long as credit is given to me I would be more than willing to allow it's use.
If you have any reaction, thoughts, or opinions on my work please feel free to contact me. I am always curious to see how my writing is received.
Feel free to create an account on this site as well. I allow all my users to create their own personal blog and guest book. I am also working at adding more features as fast as I can. If you would like to see a particular feature available, please let me know.
